Cagliari is a Mediterranean city facing into the big port and into the sea, surrounded from vast ponds that with their brakish waters give hospitality to the pink flamingoes, it has a nice and interesting historic centre assembled around the fortification of "Casteddu", big and nice churches and an interesting museum.

In Cagliari in May take place one of the most famous Sardinian festival: S. Efisio.
